Revision Division recognized nationally as a sustainable furnishing manufacturer

The RE Store is proud to announce that our Revision Division home furnishing brand has received Top Score recognition in the 2020 Wood Furniture Scorecard produced by the National Wildlife Federation and the Sustainable Furnishings Council. The Wood Furniture Scorecard is a comprehensive assessment of wood sourcing policies of furniture retailers. The goal of the Scorecard is to encourage furniture retailers to implement robust policies that drive sustainable wood sourcing and usage for the home furnishing industry.

Revision Division first began creating products in 2011 as a response to single use culture and the wasteful practices of the furnishing industry. Each piece is hand crafted in our RE Store based woodshop from reclaimed and salvaged products donated by community members. Led by designer Matt Vaughn, Revision Division builders are passionate about promoting the practices of sustainability and enjoy inspiring others and giving back to our community through our work.

“Through Revision Division, we have the opportunity to honor the inherent value of recycled and reclaimed materials. Not only are we keeping this material out of the landfill, we’re also reducing our community’s reliance on natural resource extraction,” says designed Matt Vaughn.

Revision Division works closely with Community Jobs Training Program and Manufacturing Waste Diversion, two other RE Store initiatives. Together, these programs plan to utilize discarded construction and manufacturing material all while empowering disadvantaged community members by providing in-demand job skills through one-on-one job training opportunities.
