Our storefront is temporarily closed to help curb the spread of coronavirus. During this time, we are offering online sales and over-the phone merchandise requests to allow us to continue providing affordable and essential materials to the community, while keeping our employees and customers safe.

Merchandise requests

To request merchandise, please do one of the following:

We will act as your personal shopper, to select your items and then work with you to schedule payment and a contact-free curbside pickup. Due to high order volume and short staff, we may not be able to process your request same day, but will contact you as soon as possible.

There is a $10 minimum on all purchases made through our merchandising request service. If the item you would like to purchase costs less than $10, we ask that you cover the remaining balance as a donation or purchase additional items.

You will be able to pay in two ways:

  • Pay with credit card over the phone
  • Send us payment via PayPal

In full compliance with Governor Inslee’s “stay-at-home” mandate, we encourage you to coordinate your merchandise pick up with other errands and shopping needs to comply with our states “stay-at-home” guidelines.

Gift Card Sales

Many of our friends in the community have asked how they can support us without shopping. We ask that you buy a gift card – for you or a friend – to use at a later date. We will store the gift cards until we resume full operations. You can purchase one below!

When will you open again?

We believe it’s our responsibility to temporarily remain closed to help encourage social distancing and staying home. We are following CDC recommendations and will reopen when the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) transmission has drastically reduced.

As a building materials, home improvement, and hardware store, we recognize that many aspects of our work are considered essential by legal standards. To this end, we have set up infrastructure for online sales and merchandise requests to allow us to continue providing affordable and essential materials to the community, without risking the health and safety of our employees or customers.

How can I help The RE Store during this time?

Like other local businesses, closure during the coronavirus (COVID-19) will have a drastic impact on our organization. If you’d like to help us during this time, consider:

Where can I see your inventory?

We are posting on Craigslist and LetGo. If you have specific requests, please call us at 360-647-5921 or send us an email at bham@re-store.org and our staff will do their best to find what you need.

What if I don’t want the whole lot? Can I split it up?

Unfortunately no, items listed as lots are not available individually. We may have individual items available. Please call us at 360-647-5921 or send us an email at bham@re-store.org to inquire about merchandise request options for whatever materials you might need.

Can I use my gift card or trade credit?

We are currently able to accept payment with a credit card only, via phone or our PayPal. At this point there is unfortunately no safe or healthy way for us to process cash, check, gift card or trade credit payments.

Will you honor my expired trade credit?

Trade credit that expires during our closure will be given a 30 day extension when we resume full operations.

Can I return items?

During this time of closure, we’re unable to process any returns. Sales made before and during our closure are considered final.

Can I donate building materials?

We are currently not accepting any donations and our salvage and donation pickup services are on pause. Our mission is to keep material out of the landfill and our hearts are sore thinking of all of the useable materials and items that may end up in landfills across the country right now.

If you have room, we ask that you hold on to that material for when we re-open. Not only will this keep valuable materials out of the landfill, it will ensure that our community and economy can start where it left off – with abundant material available for all. So if you’re able to, please put the box away, tuck the window back in the shed, and store that light fixture for another day.

Can I schedule a pickup of materials I would like to donate while the RE Store is closed?

During this time of closure, our Salvage Crew is unable to pick up any donations. We are doing everything we can to resume our pick up service and fulfill our mission to keep reusable materials out of the landfill. We ask that you hold on to donations and wait to donate when we open up donations or resume full operations.

Can I purchase Revision Division items?

Yes, we’re still building and selling Revision Division items. We’ll be listing them for sale on Craigslist.

What volunteer opportunities are available with The RE Store right now?

We have suspended all volunteer work with The RE Store during our closure. We will reinstate volunteer opportunities when we resume full operations. For more information, please email Darin at darinm@re-store.org.

Can I schedule a salvage or deconstruction fee-for-service project with the Salvage Crew while the RE Store is closed?

At this time we are not offering bids for new salvage or deconstruction projects. We will take on new fee-for-service work as soon as we are able.
