Annual Recycled Art and Fashion Show wrapped up in style
The 2010 Show has now concluded. Three galleries and three fashion shows in two cities left artists, designers, attendees, and the press inspired. Many people have reconsidered what is in their own trash treasure cans.
Photographer Michael Cline says, "Everything about the show has gotten better, reaching a much larger audience, and making a much stronger impression." Read his article on our blog.
Trash Fashion Show Review
This year's Trash Fashion Show Trash Fashion Shows in Seattle and Bellingham were complete successes. All three shows played to sold-out crowds. The designs were amazing, beautiful and bizarre. The press attended in droves, with King 5 News, the Seattle Times and Seattle Weekly, Bellingham Herald, Seattle Magazine, What's Up magazine, the Western Front, KVIK television, Bellingham Alive magazine, and others all in attendance.
The RE Store was proud to be partnering with the New York Fashion Academy and W.W.U.'s Fine Arts and Theater Department to produce truly memorable evenings to all who attended. The shows featured student work for the first time this year as well as professional/amateur designs.

What is Recycled Art?
Recycled Art is art that has been created from found, salvaged, scavenged, and repurposed materials. The art can take the form of 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, fashion design and accessories, interactive, mechanical, electronic, kinetic and multimedia works. Cast-off materials are very abundant in the American landscape, giving artists and designers a wide array of possibilities.

The annual Recycled Art & Fashion Show curates and juries art from professionals and students in partnership with arts and fashion organizations. Galleries in multiple cities display the work of the artists and designers. We celebrate the Show with Art Openings, outrageous Haute Trash Fashion Shows, hands-on art workshops, and other fun events. Visit our Show page.
The Mobile Recycled Art Station brings The RE Store-style arts & crafts activity booth to festivals, community celebrations, school, clubs and private events. It's a bunch of junk! Learn more about the Station here.
