2011 Trash Fashion Show
The finale after almost 10 years of trash fashion
The RE Store hosted four shows in 2011, bringing you the Pacific Northwest’s best work in the growing trash fashion movement. The shows featured the work of the Northwest’s queen bee of trash fashion (in our opinion and many others) Robin Worley aka Rayona Visqueen, Alotta Detritus, RockEON, Chako and dozens of other designers.
The show challenged professional and amateur designers and artists to craft fashion designs from a minimum of 90% reclaimed materials. Ball gowns, wedding dresses, warrior wear, and futuristic accoutrement were made with everything from carpet padding and vinyl flooring to erosion control netting and hollow core doors!

The shows on Saturday, April 23rd @ W.W.U.’s Viking Union Multi-Purpose Room left everyone in the house amazed and inspired.

According to our venue sponsor, Robert Whaley, owner of Ballard’s New York Fashion Academy, it was the “Best Trash Fashion Show” he is aware of in North America. See for yourself in the photo galleries of Michael Cline’s runway shots and John Cornicello’s mobile studio shots.
